Customer Reviews

I had an amazing experience visiting Setu for a Rest & Reset weekend. The retreat provided a tranquil and calming setting where I was able to take a much needed break and focus on self-care and personal development. My room was spacious, comfortable, and cozy and included a beautiful bathtub. Ginger prepared delicious, healthy meals and created a warm and inviting environment in the dining area. I enjoyed an amazing massage from Heidi who created the perfect environment for complete relaxation. One of my favorite aspects of the retreat experience was connecting with other participants and being invited to participate in some of the meditation sessions. Emily and Harmeet were gracious hosts who took time to share their knowledge and expertise and answer our questions. I left the retreat feeling more focused, grounded, and committed to my yoga and meditation practices. I'm already looking forward to planning another visit to Setu and would highly recommend the retreat experience to anyone who is looking for a place to slow down, reflect, and build community.

I just enjoyed a weekend retreat at Setu Vermont and recommend this tranquil space very highly. Emily and Harmeet have created a welcoming and calming space for Visitors to ease into as well as a program that ideally suited my needs. I was looking for a short remove to a distant location where I could focus on going inward to celebrate my Solar return. The weekend R&R arrangement allowed me to arrive on Friday and leave on Sunday (so very easy to fit into a scheduled life) with just enough structure to feel focused and plenty time and space to feel calm and free. It was better than I had anticipated. I did not expect to go into the gong meditation and learn as much as I did, I also did not expect to go as deep as I did in Meditation because I am not a practiced meditator. Harmeet has a kind nature which encourages the novice to find new depths. It is very heartening to be met exactly where you are. In conversation with Emily about the Ayurvedic lifestyle I was allowed to advance my understanding that bit further, so now I find myself inspired to dig a little deeper in the subject and incorporate this health tool in my life. Ginger who shared wonderful breakfasts and conversations with us was charming beyond measure (thank you for playing the piano with me!). And Heidi, a gifted masseuse, gave me a blissful Ayurvedic detox massage, she was generous with her time and considerate with details like switching on the sauna for me to enjoy after my massage and bringing me detox tea to rehydrate. Such a wonderful team! I plan to return! 🙏

Emily and Harmeet are wonderful. We knew nothing about Ayurvedic practices but now I want to learn more. We came for peace and calm and practices we could take home and we experienced that and so much more. There is no question our food intake is tied to how we process stress and exhaustion- Emil’s intro to Ayurvedic practices really brought this home. The meditation practices with Harmeet were one of the most impactful experiences I’ve had for my mental health. His style of teaching meditation was based on both data and spirituality and that really spoke to me. Don’t second guess - if you’ve found this place - just book it! PS - the food is delicious and nourishing and I’m not a vegetarian and felt very sated.
