Just purchased two new gongs from the Gong Shop and had a great experience with them from the beginning to the end. I was looking for one or 2 gongs that would compliment the 34" Paste gong and Garrett took the time to first find out the hz. of my gong and sent me its hz. and couple of sample sounds of gongs he found for me. I ended up with 24" and 28" Venus and Sadna Meinl gongs and I am ecstatic with both of them! They just arrived and started playing along with my original gong and sounds with overtones and frequencies are magical. Garrett is very knowledgeable not only about gongs but also about music theory and circle of 4th and 5th and so on and so forth. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a high quality gong! Had a wonderful purchasing experience with Trey, owner of The Gong Shop, with my first large gong purchase. I spent weeks online watching videos and reading articles on the various gongs available around the world, and the benefits of sound healing. Trey responded to my inquiries, was personable and professional, and through him found a 28” Chau Gong that carried the tone and resonance I was hoping for in a gong, even providing me with a video sample of the gong so I see and could hear it as if I were standing right there with him in his shop. Shopping for gongs is like shopping for clothes, you never know what you’ll get until you get it. In this case, my worries were minimized and I got exactly what I wanted, all thanks to Trey’s continued care and professionalism. I plan to get more gongs down the road as I build my sound healing collection and will turn to Trey and The Gong Shop again for these purchases.

This is a wonderful place to explore sound and meditation. The gongs are works of art,, crafted with knowledge and care. Customer service is gracious and impeccable. The showroom is in a huge warehouse, but has the feel of a chapel. You MUST have an appointment to visit, and please be on time. CAUTION: the address is on Third Street, but the entry is at the back of the building, and you must call when you arrive so someone can come down and escort you. They have suite numbers on several floors and only one is the showroom. One more thing: if you sign up with your email address you will receive a LOT of email!
